vas deferens
That portion of the male reproductive tract, through which sperm are delivered to the proctodeum and then the cloaca in the tail. Thus that portion which is distal to the testis, made of a total of 30 cells.
vas deferens precursor
blast cell that divides to become mostly vas deferens cells (and a few seminal vesicle cells).
vas deferens precursor 1L
vas deferens precursor that follows the 1L configuration (Z1.paa becomes the linker cell) of development.
vas deferens precursor 4L
vas deferens precursor that follows the 4L configuration (Z4.aaa becomes the linker cell) of development.
vas deferens cuboidal cell region
a region of vas deferens, positioned posterior to the valve and anterior to the elongated cell region, formed by cells of cuboidal morphology.
Z1.paaaaaa
Vas deferens cell of pedigree Z1.paaaaaa.
Z1.paaapa
Vas deferens cell of pedigree Z1.paaapa.
Z1.paaapp
Vas deferens cell of pedigree Z1.paaapp.
Z1.papaaaa
Vas deferens cell of pedigree Z1.papaaaa.
Z1.papaaap
Vas deferens cell of pedigree Z1.papaaap.
Z1.paaaaap
Vas deferens cell of pedigree Z1.paaaaap.
gon male vdef 1L
cell of vas deferens that followed the 1L lineage configuration (Z1.paa becomes the linker cell) of development.
gon male vdef 4L
cell of vas deferens that followed the 4L lineage configuration (Z4.aaa becomes the linker cell) of development.
somatic gonad precursor
any of two cells that generate all somatic tissues of the gonad proper (i.e. ovary or testis ) and genital ducts (e.g. uterus, vas deferens).
cloaca
a feature of the male tail, caudal to the proctodeum, where the vas deferens and the intestine open out jointly near the tail tip to discharge their contents.
