The lin-11 gene is specifically expressed in ventral cord motor neurons and thus the Plin-11::gfp reporter specifically labels the ventral cord cells, P3.aap-P8.aap.
In untreated or empty vector-treated control RNAi animals, GFP::AGE-1 and AAP-1::GFP were both expressed in the AC and the surrounding cells at the Pn.pxx stage before and during invasion. Interestingly, the GFP:: AGE-1 and AAP-1::GFP proteins were asymmetrically localized in the AC and appeared polarized toward the invasive membrane.

Expressed in ASE, PVT, RMG, I4, M4, pharyngeal muscle. Faint or variable expression observed in P8 and I2. Male specific expression in Rays 1, 5, 7, HOB.
GFP expression in most if not all nuclei during embryogenesis and in newly hatched L1s. During larval development, fluorescence observed in many nuclei in the head and tail regions. GFP was also present in hypodermal cells throughout development. At the time of vulval induction, GFP was visible in all P3.p to P8.p cells and persisted until after the P3.p to P8.p cell divisions and vulval morphogenesis were complete.
Although AAP-1::GFP expression was weak, fluorescence was consistently observed in the intestine and in neurons and was occasionally observed in body wall muscles and the hypodermis. Expression was observed at all developmental stages beginning with early embryos and continued through adulthood.
Before vulval induction occurs, lin-39 was expressed uniformly in the VPCs. At the time of vulval induction, lin-39 expression increased dramatically in P6.p. P3.p, P4.p, and P8.p showed the lowest levels of lin-39 expression.
