"To examine whether RBS was able to induce some certain stress to trigger the nuclear localization and activation of DAF-16 under a wild type ras background, TJ356 was used and DAF-16 intracellular distribution was observed. The results showed that RBS did not induce DAF-16 to translocate from cytoplasm to nucleus in TJ356 until the concentration of RBS increased to an arsenic level of 32 lg/mL (Figs. 6, 7). Furthermore, DAF-16 nuclear translocation was observed on an intermediate degree in the treatment group with RBS containing 32 lg/mL of arsenic rather than a complete nuclear translocation of DAF-16 in the heat shocked positive control group (Fig. 6)."
