In
let-711 embryos, ZYG-9 localized to the centrosome, and the diameter of the staining increased during the cell cycle as in wild type. However, the diameter of ZYG-9 localization in pronuclear meeting through metaphase stage
let-711 embryos appeared larger than controls at the same stages. The mean intensities of ZYG-9 staining at
let-711 centrosomes were greater than wild-type centrosomes at most stages examined, whereas the cytoplasmic intensities of ZYG-9 were similar. These observations indicate that in
let-711 embryos, more ZYG-9 accumulates at the centrosome.
