  Pattern: Expression begins during embryogenesis and is seen in adults and throughout all larval stages. Strong expression is seen in 3-fold embryos in and around the pharynx. In larvae and adults a number of small nuclei stain at the anterior base of the terminal bulb, and is sometimes accompanied by cytoplasmic staining in the isthmus. This diffuse staining is stronger in larvae and fades in adults. The nuclei that stain may be marginal cells. Occasionally staining in other nuclei around the isthmus is observed in larvae, along with some nuclei in the tail. The 5' upstream region of this construct is 2kb.
