PatternThe earliest appearance of SEPA-1::GFP was in ~16-cell stage embryos, where it was diffusely distributed in the cytoplasm of almost all cells, with a few small aggregates. SEPA-1::GFP formed aggregates in a temporal pattern similar to that shown by the anti-SEPA-1 antibody. Diffuse SEPA-1::GFP signal was still evident in most cells at the comma stage and was greatly diminished by the 2-fold stage of embryogenesis. After hatching, cytoplasmic SEPA-1 aggregates were found in a few unidentified cells in the head and tail regions and also in the intestine, especially in the anterior and posterior pairs of intestine cells.
