| Pattern | maco-1 expression begins embryonically at the time neurons are born, and persists to adulthood. GFP fluorescence appeared 6 hours after the first cell division. By late embryogenesis and in the L1 larva, fluorescence was visible throughout the nervous system. In adults, the GFP signal remained pan-neuronal, with very occasional expression in other tissues. | |||
