| Pattern | gfi-3 is expressed throughout the germline, meiotically, and in all embryonic stages. The gfi-3 transgene is observed in the soma of the L1-L4 larval stages and is also expressed in the gut cells of the adult animal. In hermaphrodites, gfi-3-driven transgene expression is prominent in mature sperm stored in the spermatheca. Male transgenics were generated and was found that gfi-3 transgene is expressed throughout the male germline. | |||
