(a) b-Galactosidase expression induced in pharyngeal muscles and intestinal cells of L4 worm by pTMIIIZ1743. (b) Expression was observed in m1, m3, m4, m5 and m7 muscles of the pharynx. (c) b-galactosidase activity was also induced in germ-line tissue between L2 and L3 stages. At this point, pharyngeal expression was complete and intestinal staining was restricted only to the posteriormost region. (d) Expression was induced only in the pharynx in L1 worm indicating a stage specific expression. (e) and (f) GFP expressions induced in pharynx, intestines and germ-line tissue by pTMGIII1743 in L4 and L3 worms, respectively. In Figure 3 and Figure 4, fixation was performed for five hours for muscle cell identification, whereas other lacZ panels were fixed for ten hours. | |||
