WBPicture0000013403DescriptionFig. 2. F52E1.2SP::YFP is secreted into the amphid sheath channel and/or is in the amphid sheath cell near the amphid sheath lumen. Wild-type adult animal has two extrachromosomal arrays, Ex[daf-6p::mCherry, gpc-1p::CFP, pRF4, pUC19] and Ex[F52E1.2SP::YFP, sdf-9p::dsRed, pUC19]. (A) daf-6p::mCherry is expressed in the amphid socket and sheath cells, and cytoplasmically localized. (B) gpc-1p::CFP is expressed in neurons including ASJ, ADL and ASH sensory neurons, and shows cytoplasmic localization. Dendrite ending of the ASH neuron is out of focus. (C) Some F52E1.2SP::YFP protein is transported to the amphid sheath cell ending. (D) DIC image. (E) A and B merged. Cilia are located in the amphid sheath channel. (F) B and C merged. Some F52E1.2SP::YFP protein is localized around the cilia. (G) A and C. Some F52E1.2SP::YFP protein seems to be secreted into the amphid sheath channel. (H) Schematic diagram of the amphid sensory ending.
