TreatmentL2 or L3 larval animals were placed on RNAi plates for 2 days at 20 degrees Celsius until nematodes became gravid. Gravid adults were then transferred to fresh RNAi-expressing bacterial lawns and allowed to lay eggs for 2 hours to synchronize a second generation RNAi population. The gravid adults were removed and eggs were allowed to develop at 20 degrees Celsius to reach L4s for subsequent assays. Worms were exposed to pathogenic Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria and assayed for survival.
