TreatmentIndividual worms were placed on RNAi bacterial feeding plates and allowed to self-fertilize at 20 degrees Celsius. The life spans of the worms were assayed at 20 degrees Celsius. The L4 stage hermaphrodites were transferred to fresh plates daily or at 2-day intervals until they stopped laying eggs. If the worms failed to move when prodded or if they lacked pharyngeal pumping, the worms were scored as dead. If a worm crawled off the plate, it was excluded from the assay. The analyses were repeated three times. Statistical analyses were conducted using the software OASIS.
