| Pattern | NEKL-2::mCherry was observed in spheres or puncta near the apical surface of the hypodermis including the hyp7 syncytium. Similar to NEKL-3::GFP, NEKL-2::mCherry was not observed in the seam cells. In contrast to NEKL-3::GFP, NEKL-2::mCherry was not observed in the vulva. Of particular interest, NEKL-3::GFP puncta only rarely co-localized with NEKL-2::mCherry in hyp7, suggesting that these kinases may function in distinct cellular compartments. | |||
