Subcellular_localizationRHR-2::GFP expression in the perinuclear space of the cell as well as in the apical membrane.
TypeReporter_gene
PatternRHR- 2 is expressed predominantly in the hypodermis, with additional abundance observed in the ventral nerve cord and body wall muscles. Wild-type transgenic animals expressing the RHR-2::GFP fusion protein expressed under its own promoter showed strong GFP expression in the hypodermis of adult C. elegans as well as mid- staged larvae. Body wall muscles also express RHR-2::GFP, as detected by co-expression of mCHERRY, as well as the spermatheca, vulva, ventral nerve cord and a subset of head neurons.
