PatternIn a wild-type background, during larval and adult stages GCS-1 GFP was readily detectable in the pharynx, and in nearby cells that appeared to be neurons. By soaking gcs-1 gfp lines in DiI, a dye that fills amphid sensory neurons, two GCS-1 GFP-expressing cells was identified adjacent to the posterior pharynx correspond to the ASI chemosensory neurons. GCS-1 GFP expression was also apparent anteriorly and posteriorly in the intestine.
