| Pattern | GFP fluorescence was detected in the transgenic animals consistently in the PLM and PHC mechanosensory neurons, and less frequently with lower intensity in the ALM mechanosensory neurons. In addition, fluorescent signals was identified in several neurons just behind the nerve ring. The relatively low intensity of fluorescence for dop-1Hgfp- expressing head neurons reduced the possibility for accurate assignment, although tentative assignments for AUA, RIB and RIM interneurons could be made. | ||
| Remark | While the dop-1Hgfp construct included 1.7 kb of promoter sequence plus the large first intron of the gene, the expression pattern of the gene may be incomplete considering that the next predicted gene is about 15 kb upstream from dop-1. | ||
