| Subcellular_localization | In nonirradiated wild-type (N2) animals, CeBRC-2 is diffuse and detected at very low levels in nuclei. However, after radiation treatment, germ line nuclei accumulate a large number of discrete foci concordant with DNA. No signal is detected in Cebrc-2 mutants, demonstrating that the focus formation observed in wild-type animals after radiation treatment is specific to CeBRC-2. These results imply that CeBRC-2 localizes to presumptive sites of DNA damage after radiation treatment. | ||
