| Pattern | Transgenic animals expressing SMI-1::GFP demonstrated strong expression throughout development, up to and including adulthood. SMI-1 was expressed in the gut at all stages through development. In addition, fluorescence was also detected in a subset of nerve cells in the head, in ventral nerve cord cell bodies and also in body-wall muscle cells.
