| Pattern | In transgenic animals, this reporter (unc-18::YFP) recapitulated the previously observed expression in the hermaphrodite (see Expr1518). In the male, unc-18::YFP showed the same expression in the ventral cord and head neurons, but also had strong expression in the gonad. The expression was strongest in the 'valve region', a non-neuronal tissue that lies at the junction of the seminal vesicle and the vas deferens. Expression was also present in most, if not all neurons in the male tail. | ||
