The ced-10::gfp::ced-10 construct consists of 7335 bp of DNA 5' to the start codon of the ced-10 start codon (3309 bp 5' to the start codon of C09G12.9, a gene immediately 5' to ced-10 and likely an upstream gene that shares the promoter with ced-10 fused to the gfp-coding region). The ced-10 genomic coding region was fused in-frame with and downstream of the gfp open reading frame. This construct express a full-length CED-10 molecule with an N-terminal GFP tag from the ced-10 promoter and that can rescue the phagocytosis defect of ced-10(n1993) animals. --precise ends. | ||
