WBPicture0000010645 Description: Fig. 6. Expression of nhr-40::gfp regulated by the promoter region 2. Promoter region 2 includes 3190 bp upstream of the initiation codon (ATG) of exon 1 of transcript nhr-40c and nhr-40d (construct #6022). Similar expression patterns were seen for construct #6022 and its derivatives (#6023, #4523, #6058). Expression is first detected in the body wall muscle cells of 1.5-fold stage embryos (A, arrowheads). Later expression includes body wall muscle cells (B, arrowhead) and neurons in the head (B, arrow) and ventral and dorsal nerve cords. In late larval and adult animals, the expression is observed in uterine-vulval cells and epithelial cells (C), ventral cord neurons (D, arrow), and tail epidermal cells and neurons. Scale: 20 um.
