TreatmentTo circumvent pop-1 maternal effect lethality, double stranded pop-1 RNA was injected into a hermaphrodite worm homozygous for rde-1(ne219) (defective for RNAi). Injected animals were then mated with wild-type males to generate rde-1/+ cross-progeny, which are zygotically sensitive to RNAi. dsRNA was injected into unc-32; rde-1 animals at both 2.5 and 1 mg/ml. Injected animals were crossed with N2 males or males carrying GFP reporters.
