| The gene name class for trehalase was formerly trh-. The tre- name was proposed for members of the TGF-beta REceptor family, by Rick Padgett (lab LT), but the only tre- gene of this type, tre-1, has never been publicly identified and can be removed from the database. Padgett has agreed (10/02) to relinquish the tre- name, so it can be used for TREhalase genes, for which TRE is a standard cross-species abbreviation [JAH][021111 ck1] | |||
