PatternMost notably, KIN-29 is seen in several neuronal cells in the head and tail throughout the course of development. Several of the sensory neurons found in the head express KIN-29, including ASH, AFD and ASI. Additional neuronal staining is observed in both CAN cells and the ventral nerve cord. Expression was found both in pharyngeal and body wall muscle. During the L1, L3 and L4 stages, expression was see throughout the intestine both in the nuclei and to a lesser extent in the cytoplasm and in cells in the tail. This intestinal expression is rarely seen in later stages of development. Occasionally, expression is seen in vulval muscles as well.
